Ian McPherson curates exhibitions and performances and organizes events, public relations and outreach at the Center for Digital Art. A Brattleboro native, Ian is an alumnus of CDA’s high school courses and a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, where media and culture studies, film history and filmmaking made up the bulk of his Bachelor of Liberal Arts.
While still at Sarah Lawrence, Ian was an assistant to the college’s Events Coordinator for four years, organizing and promoting lectures, panel discussions, performances, fundraisers, and teleivision and film shoots. Since graduating in 2010, Ian has assisted in teaching two of Sarah Lawrence’s summer courses for high school students: one in video production and filmmaking and another in New York City history.
Outside of CDA, Ian is a pop-star-styled performance artist and visual artist who works with pen and paper, foamcore, and video (though not all at once).
